CURRICULUM
CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY (GRADE 1-6)
Our Cambridge Primary curriculum emphasises on building a strong foundation in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science. This stage is designed to foster inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.
Each year, Grade 6 students undergo Cambridge examinations as part of the May-June series. These assessments are integral to measuring a student’s academic progress and ensuring alignment with rigorous international standards.
CAMBRIDGE SECONDARY
1. 2-Year Program for Lower Secondary Curriculum (Grade 7-8)
This stage provides students with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills across a broad spectrum of subjects, encouraging interactive and collaborative learning experiences that foster independent thinking and creativity.
2. 2-Year Program for IGCSE Curriculum Cambridge Upper Secondary (Grade 9-10)
At this stage, students strive to achieve the internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) qualifications that will pave the way for future education and careers.
This phase offers a diverse range of subjects, allowing students to explore their interests and passion. Students select their subjects based on their potential and interests, with elective subjects including Chemistry or History, Biology or Geography, and Physics or Business Studies. These selections cater to individual potentials and align with global educational demands.
Examinations are held in Grade 10, encompassing a total of six Cambridge subjects: core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Global Perspectives, and Bahasa Indonesia (for Indonesian students), along with chosen specialised subjects, which can be altered based on the students’ individual potential and global demand. This flexibility ensures students can adapt their studies to meet personal goals and evolving academic requirements.
3. 2-Year Program for A Level Curriculum Cambridge Advanced (Grade 11-12)
In the final stage of our curriculum, students have the opportunity to pursue the Cambridge International A Level qualifications, which is globally recognised and highly valued by universities and employers, providing students with a pathway to higher education and promising career opportunities.
The A Level program is structured into two stages: AS Level and A Level. Grade 11 students undertake the AS Level examinations, while Grade 12 students progress to the A Level examinations. Students are required to choose a minimum of three subjects for the AS Level examinations in Grade 11, which they will continue with in Grade 12 for A Level examinations.
Subjects can be selected from core areas such as English, Mathematics, and Global Perspectives, or specialised subjects like Biology or Geography, Chemistry or History, Physics or Business Studies; which can be altered based on the students’ individual potential and global demand. This flexibility allows students to tailor their studies based on their interests and university entry requirements, ensuring they receive a well-rounded and personalised education.

These events provide valuable opportunities for students to cultivate essential skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, and time management.
Participating in these activities allows students to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world settings, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and practical problem-solving abilities. They gain hands-on experience that builds confidence and resilience, preparing them effectively for future challenges. Events at Santosa Intercultural School also promote a sense of community and belonging among students. Engaging in community service activities, for instance, instils in students a sense of civic responsibility and the importance of giving back to society.
We encourage all students to actively participate in these enriching experiences,as they not only provide a break from the regular academic routine but also create lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment. The holistic development fostered through event participation ensures that our students are well-prepared not just for academic success but for life beyond the classroom.
